Holiday Sharpie Mug Gifts

If you read my How to Make a Durable Sharpie Mug That Will Survive the Dishwasher post, you know that I was already scheming to give personalized Sharpie mugs away as Christmas gifts in October.  I admit, I got a little ahead of myself.  I just can't control my enthusiasm for this craft.  I love Sharpie mugs because they can be an extremely thoughtful gift, depending on what you write on the mugs.  Not to mention, the mugs are quite inexpensive, and you can fill the mugs with seasonal treats, gift cards, and toys.  Some of my relatives are impossible to shop for, and I usually end up buying them gift cards.  This year, I decided to give those relatives a Sharpie mug, a few treats, and the gift cards to make their gift more exciting.

I just finished making the mugs for a my relatives, along with a few treats to place inside the mugs.  I'm so excited that I had to share.  I made a bunch of mugs, but I can only show you this monogrammed mug right now.  I know the receiver doesn't use social media, so the surprise won't be ruined!

To go inside the mugs, I made a couple different types of fudge: peanut butter and peppermint.  I made the fudge using recipes I've developed over the years.  I can't resist making fudge during the holidays, and each year I get a bit better at making it.  I've heard that a lot of people are scared to make fudge because they have been told that it is very difficult.  However, the recipes I use are quite easy.  I will be sure to share them with you all soon.

Then, I put the fudge into a few gift bags with some cute labels, and popped the fudge into the Sharpie mugs.

The Sharpie mugs are a quick craft, and you still have time to make them if you want to give them away for Christmas.  Just pick up a cheap mug from Target or the dollar store and some candy, and follow my How to Make a Durable Sharpie Mug That Will Survive the Dishwasher post.  You'll have a thoughtful gift after a couple hours.
