You can ask my husband, I am definitely
not a morning person. I am groggy and simply not
aware of my surroundings. If something is not where it is supposed to be,
there is no chance that I'm going to find it. To make matter worse, I am total slob when I'm getting ready in the
mornings before work. I am almost always rushing around, and I tend to throw makeup and other hygiene items all over the bathroom counter if I
don't have a predefined location to put them. This makes it difficult to find things the following day and brings me back to my first problem.
To remove myself from the inevitable cycle of placing things in strange places and then failing to find them the next morning, I have a lot of organization in my bathroom. One container that I particularly love my is makeup brush holder because it keeps my brushes accessible and clean. I think it looks pretty cute on my counter as well, and a few guests have said the same. I made my makeup brush holder by up-cycling a used candle jar, and it was easily one of the easiest crafts I've ever made. I almost feel silly explaining how to make it, but I wanted to at least relay the idea to you!
All you need is a used, but clean, candle jar container and beads from the floral section of your local craft store. My candle jar was from a used Bath and Body Works candle, and I found my rose gold beads at Hobby Lobby. If you need help removing the wax from a candle jar, read my last crafting post, The Easiest Way to Remove Wax from Candle Jars. You'll be shocked how easy it is to remove the wax!
Then, you just need to pour the beads into the container. Viola! Start sticking your brushes in it, and you'll never have to worry about the location of your brushes again!
