Bumpdate: 4 Weeks

In case you haven't heard a billion times already, I'm pregnant!  Eeeee!  I'm so unbelievably excited, and I want to share my pregnancy experiences with you.  I'm planning to write a post every four weeks (about once a month) to keep you updated.  I love reading pregnancy blogs, so it seems natural that I write some myself.  If you are pregnant or you are thinking about becoming pregnant, I hope this series can help to give you an idea of what to expect.

How I'm Feeling

I definitely feel different, but I'm not displaying many of the cliched signs of early pregnancy like morning sickness and fatigue.  Hooray!

Weight Gain/Measurements

Clearly, there had been no weight gain yet.

Sleep

All of my dreams seem to be related to predicting the baby's gender.  Though, my mind doesn't seem to have reached a resolution yet.  It's a girl one night and a boy the next.

Food Cravings

All of the salty things in the world.  All of them.  This is extremely weird because, as everyone who knows anything about me would say, I'm all about the sweets.  I mean, I have a blog that is filled with my sugary creations.  My cravings were so severe that I was sitting at my desk dreaming about Lays potato chips for a solid hour before I finally broke down and purchased some from the vending machine.  Let me tell you, those Lays were freaking heaven.

Other Symptoms

Some of the early signs of pregnancy are definitely there.  My chest is insanely sore, and I'm having tiny little cramps every few hours.  Apparently, the cramps are a sign that my uterus is growing to make some room for the baby.

Best Moment of the Month

Learning that I'm pregnant, obviously.  When we heard the news, Chris beamed at me and started jumping up and down.  I just stood there stupidly for a few seconds while I absorbed the news.  I simply couldn't believe that I was pregnant.  Then, once the news permeated my thick skull, I started bawling.

Looking Forward To...

I'm looking forward to my 7 week ultrasound when we should see the baby's heartbeat, which proves that the baby is doing well!
